Are you familiar with Warren Ellis’s Planetary comic series?

He wrote a special issue in which the Planetary team met Batman — and shifts in time/space caused them to meet various incarnations of Batman as he’s been presented over the years, from the 60’s TV series hero (who uses Bat-Female-Villain-Repellant) to the Frank Miller

Batman to the Bob Kane Batman of the 30’s.

Your poster immediately reminded me of that story. Any idea where it’s from?

I was a fundamentalist Batman fanatic in the 80s, and I persist in the belief that any storyline that runs contrary to Year One, The Killing Joke, or The Dark Knight Returns is detestable blasphemy.
