There’s something very wrong with states like Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and others that have consistently gone for President Obama yet have such a high proportion of Republican to Democratic Reps. Redistricting needs to be done by an independent commission. As far as I know, Republican state legislatures consistently reject that. Gee wonder why.

Rural Penna. is extremely conservative.

Rural Virginia is too, along with Virginia Beach. Rural Ohio is also conservative.

So a state could go for President Obama and still have a number of GOP politicians.
