I don’t know about Bachmann’s chances. If the economy gets as bad as the Tea Baggers are trying to make it, the fence-sitters may catch anti-incumbent fever.

Perry is slime, but I don’t think he’ll go after Mitt’s record, since he is a former Democrat himself (I think.) I could totally see him going Mormon-bashing though, ala W’s ugly rumors about McCain’s black daughter in South Carolina in 2000.

Are you from Texas? Perry is one mean ass motherfucker and he was a Democrat 20 years ago, like most white Texans. That shit’s over. He may have been a Democrat, but he never claimed to be pro-choice, claimed to be to left of Ted Kennedy or passed a universal health care law that paid for abortions. And he already took his shot at Mitt Romney with that wholly evangelical prayer rally. He will go after it all. Perry has serious weakness that Obama will easily exploit if Perry is the nominee, but Mitt’s got problems. Perry will not shrink from going after Mitt on everything as soon as he gets the chance. He ain’t Tim Pawlenty.
