And 150,000 or so oil workers who will be out of work because of the drilling moratorium. Not to mention the effect globally as the oil price reacts to the interruption in new supply.

Bagua - hubby is in that group. We have no clue what the next 6 months hold for us. The rig he’s on had their permit issued, then revoked, then re-issued, and he sent word yesterday, it’s been revoked again.

There is no reason on the face of the earth for there to be this moratorium on new wells or continued operation of existing ones.

People who are in the drilling business knew by the end of the first week after the blowout what had happened and why. And they knew it was the result of BP making some very bad decisions, that most people in that business would not have made or gone along with.

This moratorium is nothing more than a political PR move.
And thousands of families are going to suffer.
