I’m quoting this bit because again today, I saw someone posting a bit from a Trump interview from decades ago. I read one of his answers aloud to Mrs. FBW, and we were both astonished that this is the same guy who gave that frighteningly incoherent interview to the NYT last week. He used to speak in sentences and paragraphs, and was able to stay on the topic through the whole answer.

Now? It’s like words and ideas are buzzing around in his head and he’s grasping at them as he speaks, and whichever one he catches in that moment is what he says.

I really think he’s suffering some form of dementia.

Consequences of an old “war” injury? Or perhaps following in his father’s footsteps. Fred had Alzheimer’s, apparently.
