OPD has been undermanned and overworked for far too long. Ultraviolence from the residents and/or imported thugs directed at the LEOs is the norm here going back to the 60s. If you want to protest … fine. But when you are given an order by an officer it is wise to start moving your ass quickly in the direction given or be willing to accept potential oncoming trauma. The Marine was wrong. If he got his skull cracked in a civil skuff-up I wonder how he survived 2 deployments in Iraq unless he was pushing paper. Very poor judgement on the Marines part IMNSHO.

Too bad the video of the incident doesn’t agree with your idea that his injuries were justified. Nor the fact that OPD threw a concussive grenade into the group of people who were attempting to assist him when he was injured.
