Americans bet on Intrade all the time, nothing illegal about it that I’m aware of under federal law. The website itself couldn’t be operated inside the US, and there may be individual state laws that affect its customers.

That could be true. Gambling holds no interest whatsoever for me so I’m not up on laws governing it. I merely report why these idiots upstanding conservatives are saying they can’t take advantage of a sure thing.
