Which gives me a chance to shamelessly plug my page about how this country fails to prosecute white collar crime.

My wish, when we get a Democratic congress that will do its job, is to start hauling a number of federal, state, and local officials in to explain why the hell they haven’t been doing their jobs for the past decades.

And before anyone gets started, “breaking up the banks” isn’t the answer. A lot of the real dirty banks are small boutique ones for international criminals. It’s not size, it’s transparency and the elimination of tax havens around the world.
