Bullshit. The miners’ leaders had they intended to attack and shut down a lawful place of business. The police acted to stop them. The CMU (commercial Miners Union) represented the nasty sort of unionism that had paralyzed the UK in the 1970’s. But under Thatcher things were different. She kept her nerve and ensured that the law and private property were defended. And Britain gained greatly from her strength.
