There will be no plea deal. If he wants to plead guilty, then fine. If he wants to have a jury convict him, that’s also fine. Nobody’s going to say, “Okay, you can have six months in county and three year’s probation, and you’re not allowed to fly for five years” just because he wants to ‘cut a deal.’ The guys who are sent to blow themselves up know about as much about the organization (Al Qaeda, whatever) as the guys selling dime bags of crack on the street know about the cartels that provide the raw cocaine.
