Which is WHY, “Back in the Day” the way to go was:

1. Buy (Borrow?) the LP.
2. Tape it within the first 5 or so plays.
3. Play the Tape after that, putting the LP to sleep.
4. If/when the tape breaks/gets melted - Re-Tape from the LP.

When CD first got popular, the way to go was:

1. Buy (Borrow?), the CD.
2. Tape the CD for Car Play, Play the CD at home, unless borrowed.
3. If/when the tape breaks/gets melted - Re-Tape from CD.

Today.

1. Burn Backup Copy CD or Download to iPod or MP3.
