OK. So it’s basically an analysis of why we lost those middle states. And an opinion.

I’ll have to go find the vox article I linked to yesterday, but one of the things they pointed out was that in places where Democratic Senators did better than Clinton, the Senators actually ran a more moderate campaign than Clinton. So, while it can be argued that economics might have been part of it, depending on location, it just wasn’t all of it.

I supported Clinton from the moment she announced for this campaign, but I think the following three things happened:
1. The baggage she carried was too much for low info voters to want to get through. Yes, I’m blaming Republicans (for their constant baseless attacks) and the voters, but I have to take responsibility for not seeing that it was too much.
2. Lot’s of people didn’t want a third Democratic term no matter what, because they’ve been convinced that a Democrat didn’t fix anything, all evidence to the contrary.
3. A lot of Democrats we’re content with where we’re at and rather than defending it, they chose to be idiots.

She won the popular vote, but in the US that’s not enough.
