Francis may be more open minded than his predecessors, but the Catholic Church is a massive institution, changing its direction is like trying to steer an aircraft carrier in the middle of an iceberg flow, at night during a storm. Expecting the rules to change over night and there be no issues is a fool’s dream. Or perhaps the Church will remain out of step with the modern world on this (and other issues).
