Kinda like the lesson I learned as a teen; when you disturb a hornets’ nest while trimming the lawn, do not try to fight them off using a weed-eater. Trust me, it doesn’t work.

Okinawa, 1996. On a platoon patrol, supposed to have full noise discipline. Hear a tree crack and the Platoon Sgt yells “RUN!”. 30 Marines in full battle gear take off in a dead run from the biggest swarm of hornets I’ve ever scene. That was a sight to see.
