re: #32 Belafon

I could throw out the “be the better man” line, but actually, losing friends that share your views over primary politics is stupid. That would be like losing a friend because one of you likes In-N-Out and the other likes Five Guys.

Five Guys is better than In-N-Out and I don’t care what you West coast snobs say! But yes. I mean as I said, you’re going to disagree with people even people you mostly agree with. It’s a fact of life. And sometimes those people will be people you deeply care for. It was tough seeing my grandparents in 2008 embrace a lot of the nastiness directed at Obama but to my grandmother’s credit she did come around on Obama. And I think my grandfather may have too if he hadn’t died before he became President but even if he hadn’t and became a Tea Party asshole, I would never stop loving him. It’s easy to see politics like warfare because debates get heated and these are issues that really do effect us but in the end, we’re all just trying to live our lives. Now if you want to get angry at the politicians by all means.
