I hate to say it, but Garland is coming across looking weak in this hearing. Blinking way too much, clearly feeling the pressure. Not good.

I’m reminded of watching Bob Mueller defend his investigation before the same sorts of jackasses and basically giving the same sort of performance. For all the talk we’ve seen about such men as being modern day Elliot Nesses, righteously bringing famous criminals and criminal gangs to justice, most of them are paper pushers who rose through the ranks because they were the next guy in line.
