But I still think he ought to have been vetted. The party has to know if there are any skeletons. I’ll bet there are no unknown candidates are not vetted.

Oh, I’m sure both sides are doing a great deal of dumpster diving right now, looking for anything and everything they can find on this guy. If nothing else, the fact that he beat out the establishment candidate is cause for alarm, if not suspicion.
