You mean you don’t follow my every post and hang on my every word?

To quote myself from yesterday’s overnight thread:

It’s a Celtic cross, because I’m Celtic by blood (putting aside the Roman mask for a moment). Specifically, my ancestors are Scots-Welsh-Irish with a few English genes thrown in just to make it all worse. My parents like to joke that I got the nastiest traits from all those heritages. To wit: I drink like a Mick, swear like a Welshman, fight like a Scot, and do snide like an English lord.

And I’m Roman Catholic by faith and the grace of God.

The avatar is there because I am all that, and also as a protest against the Nazis who have adopted the Celtic cross as a substitute for the swastika.

You didn’t ask, but the motto means “it is difficult not to write satire” - which pretty much sums up my take on the world.
