I’m starting to believe that worshipping the god-emperor is less of a cause and more of a symptom of the problem, to be honest. While they are very highly correlated, a lot of the “Trump is my personal idol” shit literally just comes down to, “Trump does whatever he wants and says, ‘Fuck you,’ to the rules.” They loved it every time he blatantly broke a law and dared someone to do something about it. It’s what they secretly long for - the power to literally do whatever they want with no consequences.
