I think that the US is wise to try to head off a preemptive strike by Israel, because one was pretty likely.

Don’t get me wrong, it would be bad news, the stock market would go to hell and the price of gas would skyrocket and we would be back in economic shit; but then again Israel is not the only party that could start something nasty.

My argument is with absolutism about things like preemptive is bad. Losing is bad.
