I was reading something the other day that caused me to look at creationists in a new light. Not only do they despise Darwin and modern science generally speaking, they despise the age of Enlightenment ITSELF. They are not content with a state religion and a soft (or hard) theocracy, but their aim is to eradicate reason itself. They are not content with an 1800’s pre Darwin mindset, they want to drag the west back into a pre 1650’s culture, where no one questions anything or applies the light of logic and/or reason to ANY subject. Since the United States Constitution is a product (and perhaps the crown jewel of) of the age of Enlightenment, it is an obstacle to them. It’s time to call them what they are, treasonous….
