Well first someone will have to show President Obama where Honduras is on a map.
Then someone will have to explain why the President of Honduras was the subject of a coup: he disregared the Honduran Congress and the Honduran Supreme Court.
Then someone will have to try to explain to him why Hugo Chavez really isn’t such a nice fellow after all!
(word is that Chavez had all of the ballots in the unconstitutional election impounded by HIS troops, Air Force).
And even then, I’m STILL not sure what President Obama’s response will be to any invasion by Venezuela.

Obama’s media allies are still pushing the misleading “military coup” theme, though there have been some surprising exceptions. The BBC, for example, played it straight and at least one AP story pointed out that the arrest was ordered by a lawful and constitutional process. The media and the *spit* state department know what the facts are and that there has been no unlawful action by the Honduran congress and courts. This kind of deception and propaganda is pretty ironic, not to mention hypocritical, coming as it does from people whose favorite fantasy was too see federal marshals ordered to arrest Bush while he was still in office.

As for the tactical situation, Hugo’s regular forces are too far away to intervene directly and they might not try even if they could. What he can do is fly goons, weapons, and propaganda teams into neighboring Nicaragua for infiltration into Honduras.
