I keep a jar of coins at home to deposit whenever the jar gets full. Sometimes, in order to bad the total amount in the jar, I’ll ask the clerks at the grocery store if they have any $1 coins….sometimes they’ll have a bunch, sometimes they won’t have any. Depending how much they have, I’ll usually trade my paper $1 bills for the $1 coins and put them in the jar when I get back.
