It was winter when I was in Venice. Smelled great. I don’t go out at night much when I’m traveling alone, but I walked around at night in the fog in Venice. It was magical.

Have you run into Donna Leon’s Venice mysteries? She’s an American teacher who has lived there since the 80s. Taught my kid at the US airbase U Maryland extension.
