How anyone can be so devoid of empathy is beyond me.

Empathy is what truly separates liberalism and conservatism once you get past policy differences. I am a liberal in large part because I empathize with those who aren’t me. In my observations of prominent conservatives, it’s teh total opposite- they won’t empathize with people who aren’t them. Never an attempt to sympathize with teh gay kid told he’s going to hell, the unwed mother to be, the black kid harassed by cops.
