Sean Penn sure loves his right to free speech —doesn’t he?

Check out his two-part article in “The Nation” last year about his visit to Venezuela and Cuba, where he got to lick Chavez’s boots in person, ditto Raul Castro’s. He waited around in Havana for two days for a chance to give Fidel a hand-job, but if I remember aright the call never came. Poor Sean.

I get a new subscription to “The Nation” every year courtesy of my ultra-leftist relatives. It is reliably anti-Israel, pro gun control, and open to Hollyweird wackos with lots of spare time on their hands for cozying up to dictators.

And then there’s Alexander Cockburn*, who, when not equating Israelis with Nazis, is a full on AGW-denier.
