I’m saying AB’s passing is a tragedy (God I’m getting tired of typing that word) because it’s a “an unfortunate or sad event” or a “a shocking or sad event” or a “A disastrous event, especially one involving distressing loss or injury to life” and you’re saying it’s not because you don’t give a shit about AB.

By this standard, you would have to call Bin Laden’s death a tragedy too, since it presumably brought suffering to his family, friends, and fans.
