See the thing is, you all are thinking about what’s good for the country’s future and what the right and principled thing is to do.

WRONG! The dems have the majority, the dems have the Pres. We have to bite the bullet and let them have their moment so that they will unable to shift the failure to anyone/anywhere else. To take a principled stand now will only allow the repubs enemy’s to point the finger-of-blame at them when convenient. Further obstinacy will only alienate more and more of the so-called moderates everyone in the repub party was so eager to court during the election. The repubs took 12 years of majority rule (8 yrs with a repub pres.) and p!ssed it away. Now they have to eat some sh!t or they will be no more. I have no interest in contributing to repubs after their latest performance. Why? They don’t believe in standing up for the principles THEY HAVE DECLARED? Why should I continue to support them in their mendacity and fecklessness? At least with the dems, you know what you’re going to get. Even NOW they still are talking about HOW THEY PRESENT THEMSELVES not what they truly stand for!

You are making the assumption that what they are doing will work. It will not. It has been tried before many times. The Dems. don’t believe and don’t read history. Let the Dems own this shit and the Reps can make gains in 2010.
