Here’s a particularly ugly case of history at least rhyming.

Hitler’s treason case after the failure of his beer hall putsch was dealt with by a right wing Weimar court that went very easy on Hitler. Trump is obviously trying to pack the judiciary (especially SCOTUS) with fellow travelers in case he needs the same kind of ‘protection’ by courts.
