That would certainly be a better outcome, and if anyone has the skills to do it, it’s Schumer.

But of the 44 or 45 Senate Rs who’d be “continuing,” who’d be sensible enough to say yes? I used to think more highly of Sasse, but not lately. Tim Scott? Murkowski? The pool of moderate Rs is pretty shallow.
