Well, if the question is about “decades” in the past, not a few years, one should really look. Because people change and sometimes for the worse. Know one example of a white guy who took part in MLK’s training and then in sit-ins, but in his later years turned into a flaming “white men rights activist”.

Sure fair enough and that’s really sad. Sad to see someone who knew what was right turn up on the wrong side of things later.
