There was a white rat who lived near the Fillmore Center back in San Francisco that I saw a lot. I couldn’t tell if he was a natural albino or an escaped pet rat.

I used to have a pet rat. They’re so much better than any other rodent pet- they’re actually smart, they’re very sociable, and if you’re playing with them, they get off you to go to the bathroom rather than widdling all over you like mice, gerbils, and hamsters.
