The article from TPM linked above actually makes a more compelling argument that Trump shouldn’t be allowed to have any SCOTUS nominee confirmed given the pending investigations and court cases against him, and the reasonable likelihood that his nominee would play a prominent role in deciding significant legal issues concerning the Russia investigation, the lawsuit re: Emoluments Clause violations, and procedural issues surrounding each.
