Yes, people on the boats fought back…10 or 15 of them died. It doesn’t matter if you think Israel was right to ‘defend itself’ by attacking the flotilla or if the activists (“jew murderers” if it makes a person feel better to dehumanize them) were right to try to defend themselves. It’s a tragedy and it’s only going to escalate tensions.

They ‘fought back’? If a demonstration of peace activists pulled knives on cops coming to arrest them, you wouldn’t refer to it as ‘fighting back’.

Now, if we want to rephrase this adventure as one of pirates attacking the Israeli coast, OK with me, but they did get their asses kicked.
