In 2017, CNN revealed how Webb was part of a trio of conspiracy theorists that pushed a false rumor about a cargo ship with a “dirty bomb” that was set to arrive at the Port of Charleston in South Carolina.

I could swear that’s highly similar to the plot of a made-for-TV movie broadcast back in the 1980s. I remember watching it as a kid - the only real difference was that in the TV movie, some terrorists had gotten hold of an actual nuke, and while military bomb-disposal experts were trying to defuse it, the nuke went off. If my memory serves my right, the Port of Charleston was the setting of this TV movie.
