And once he started piling up delegates, the pressure on the other candidates to change the dynamics of the race increased. And none could do it. The highly touted GOP field—even I thought it was a pretty strong cast, on paper—turned out to be a bunch of empty suits. Cruz was the most ideologically conservative candidate, but Jeb and Rubio were probably the best two candidates to over take Trump. But Rubio turned out to be out of his league and Jeb was probably just running to continue the family business.

I thought Rubio actually got closest to taking him down with the ‘small hands’ stuff. But close only counts with horseshoes and hand grenades.

And besides, Little Marco didn’t want to offend the future Deplorables.
