The unwillingness of so many media outlets to be transparent on the so-called authority of their “experts” is I suppose the direct result of “expertise” having little to do with knowledge and objectivity (as the modern world used to embrace) and everything to do with getting eyes-on-product.

Pretty freaking sad.
