Yes, the media often sensationalizes AGW reporting— as they do most stuff. Yes, not all of the predictions made by everyone involved in global warming have been accurate.

But the truth of the matter is that AGW is happening faster than the worst-case scenario projections put out by scientists. As far as actual scientific predictions go, things are worse than we thought. And getting worse every day.
