Does the airline have a mental health evaluation program in place?
How frequently does the airline check?
Were there signs missed by supervisors/staff that should have alerted them that the crew might have problems?
Was staff/supervisors trained to even look for mental health problems?

Do other airlines have programs in place? (does the airline meet the standards set by other airlines, etc.)

These are all questions that will likely be sorted out in coming weeks, months, and years in lawsuits by families against the airline (and the parent corporation Lufthansa).
