That one study gets cited over and over as though it definitely proved media bias for all time. It’s weird. Most people who cite that study don’t even know how it was conducted, or ask themselves if, say, those running that study have any bias. The problem of analyzing bias— especially when using a stupid left/right scale that obviously tells us nothing about any serious political position— is immense.

Again: bias is always going to occur in reporting. The job of the reporter is not to find some mythical objectivity which doesn’t actually exist, but to not let their own biases interfere with reporting.

Of course, the modern media is such a contemptible mess it doesn’t matter much. There’s a few people who actually do their research. Other media figures let complete lies go unchallenged, or repeat them themselves. It’s a sad state.
