I’ve wondered occasionally about the people who work for Alex Jones and people like him. To be competent in their jobs they have to be sane enough not to believe a word of his shit. This means they are total mercenaries, which means they will cut a deal rather than martyr themselves.

The problem with that is that there simply aren’t many such people in the executive branch right now, as the very slow rate of appointments makes clear. Bannon or one of his underlings is being very careful not to let people into the inner circle that they don’t already know or have someone vouch for.
