It’s up to the US authorities to prevent people entering the US illegally, not the Canadians. We have a very large border and a small population. That means border crossings are chronically under-manned. The RCMP (our FBI) and CSIS (our CIA) are good professionals, but they too are seriously underfunded considering the scope of the problem. The Islamic radicals have successfully tapped into the liberal media elite and are using them to undermine our security. Amongst other problems, this opens a back-door into the US.

I suspect that Janet Napolitano, who is not a stupid person, is just being a pc politician when she made the comparison with Mexico. She must be aware of the problem, even if it is not socially acceptable to use the term “Islamic terrorists” in the Obama White House.
