The elected politicians being labelled “leftist’ or ‘left’ or even ‘liberal’ in the US aren’t ‘left’ or ‘liberal’ as the rest of the world, or political science, understands these terms.

That’s fact. People can dislike Obama for all kinds of reasons— i do— but to claim that he’s a ‘radical leftist’ is just false.

Logical fallacy. We are not talking about whether Obama is a “leftist” by North Korean standards.
