Quick question regarding the Senatorial logjam due to Manchin and Sinema’s antics -

I don’t know if it has been brought up here recently, but whatever happened to the big conversation for Puerto Rico statehood? It’s been extremely quiet for the past year or so after Puerto Rico passed a referendum with a formal request to become a US State. Democrats should be pushing like hell for this since for the next year there isn’t any way for Republicans to block the process now. There’s also the District of Columbia, but there are still judicial challenges on that either prevent or heavily delay the process.

last i heard, manchin was opposed because he thinks it has to be done by constitutional amendment
