What I don’t understand is that I believe these folks believe in the literal truth of the Bible, and they’ve been busily praying for the country to return to its former conservative greatness. Why hasn’t it happened? The gospel of John specifically promises that what is asked for in Jesus’ name will be given. How do they explain this lapse?
