I’ve begun to learn to stop worrying and love the default. Because that’s where this is all heading. I’ve given up on the hope that we’re going to beat the deadline, that there will be some magical surprise ending that satisfies everybody. Was just reading last night that the market’s not only made it clear that a short-term deal that puts us back to hashing this out in 6 months will not avoid a credit rating decline, nor will going with the GOP’s “plan” for the Treasury to prioritize debt payment to avoid default.

So my advice would be to start drinking heavily.
