Although you raise good points, the key to me is this: Mike Brown was over 150 feet away from him. A half a football field. The idea that his only option was to continue shooting him until he was dead is a non-starter. At that point, his excuses for not macing him are gone, as are his excuses not to use a baton or flashlight. Hell, don’t the mace cans that they issue to police have a good 5 to 10 foot reach?
