I weighed in a little bit on that last night. I think the practice of retouching photos has gotten way out of hand. The easy access to retouching tools, and the ease of use of said tools, has made it way too convenient to airbrush away inconvenient detail in the name of political expediency.

Fully agree.

It’s funny to me that people are complaining about this photo - that is, by objective standards, really what she looks like.

They’re complaining that the photo isn’t glammed up and stylized, because it screws up their impression of Bachmann the Ideal.

They don’t want a real person. They want a mockup of a real person. That’s fucking batty.
