I imagine the maid will be blamed as an illegal more than Whitman for hiring her in the first place by the nutters. What we should do is make it easier to immigrate legally and from what I understand this is something that has happened under Obama’s presidency. We know people want to come here and why. We should encourage immigration not look down on it.

How is the Obama administration making immigration any easier?

As for the Whitman thing, this seems like a massive ‘she said, she said’ situation.

As best I can tell, Whitman’s version is that she hired the woman with paperwork in order, and fired her when she learned she wasn’t legally able to work.

Allred’s version is that she knew the woman was illegal, exploited her with that knowledge in mind, and then canned her when her presence became politically risky.

I’ll keep watchin’ the news.

I wasn’t going to vote for her anyway, so this doesn’t much affect me.
