I’ve got just about all of my light bulbs changed over to CFL now. I’m doing my part. Looking to install solar panels on the roof in the next year or two. I’m going to be an energy producer and feed back electricity into the grid. Greedy capitalist bastard that I am.

Have you checked prices and would you mind sharing that info?

Even with all the fed and state tax credits and the utility company bribes it still works out to about $2.50/W installed. And that works out to about 14 years to recover the initial cost assuming zero operating expenses/maintenance.

Also assumes about 2.5% per year increase in electricity costs.
